Scallop Flower Tutorial

Hello, everyone! Here is a tutorial on how to make a paper scallop flower.

Cut two 1" x12" strips of DP. Use the Eyelet Border punch and punch on one side of the edge
of the 2 strips of DP. See above picture.

Run the 2 strips of DP through the Crimper and crimp.

Put sticky strips onto a 1-3/8" punch out circle.

Start folding the one DP onto the circle. See above picture.

First layer of the flower with first strip of DP.

Add sticky strip in the middle of the flower. Now fold the second DP on top of the first DP piece.

This is how it look like when you finish folding the seconding DP piece.

Poke a hole in the middle of the flower and put a brad through it. Now you have a beautiful flower to put onto your cards or 3D projects. Enjoy!

If you have any questions just let me know!

Little Chicky Basket

Hello, everyone! Isn't this the cutest little basket? It is a cute little basket you can give to your children on Easter day to fill mini eggs in. This basket is about 3" square.

Can you guess what I used to make this basket? I used 4 Scallops Circles #2 die for the basket.

I added 2 paper flowers to the sides of the basket to dress the it up a little. I will have a tutorial on how to make this flower on the next post.

Thank you for stopping by!

Egg-stra Special Basket

Had a class last night and my customers made this cute basket that holds cards. The ladies loved it so much and they said it is a great basket to use for an Easter egg hunt. What a great idea?

I don't have the tutorial for the cards. Only the basket. My husband wasn't able to make the tutorial. He does the computer part and I make the cards. I have the basket template available for purchase $3.95 if you like to make one yourself.

Thinking of You Blooms

Happy Friday! I'm so glad it is Friday! Two days break from babysitting! Oh! I'm not complaining about the baby I'm babysitting. She is a good baby but I like more time to stamp. Stamping my relaxation time.

Today's card I made thinking of a lady from our church. She's a shut-in now so she can't go to church anymore. I really want to send her a card just to encourage her. She was a big encouragement to my family when she was able to come to church. Hope this will lift up her spirit.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday 131

Hi, everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today's projects is a Mojo Monday 131 Sketch. I have not participate in this challenge for a long time. Very easy sketch!

I use the Cottage Wall DP (love it) for this card and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. Aren't those butterflies gorgeous? I love that you can cut the butterflies out in any colours you like to match the DP or cardstock! The sentiment is from Sincere Salutation stamp set. This stamp set has been around forever! Probably 6 years now. Wow! That's a long time for a stamp set to be around!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

More Houses!

Happy Friday, everyone! More little houses made from the Good Neighbour stamp set. I made the shorter ones and was trying to use the other roof from the set but they are too big. I ended up using the same roof as the bigger houses (the ones on the back) that I made a couple of days ago.

My daughter, Hope loves these houses so much I gave them to her to play with.

Thank you visiting my blog!

Hummingbird

Happy Thursday! Beautiful sunny day here in Vancouver! Spring flowers are blooming everywhere. What a great feeling to feel the warm weather again!

I made this card thinking of Spring. It is so soft and beautiful just like Spring! I use the Spring Song stamp set I got for FREE from the Sale-a-bration promotion. With every $65 you spend you get to choose a FREE product from the Sale-a-bration brochure.

I have seen humming bird close up before and they are beautiful little creature. It is amazing how God made such little thing and their wings flaps 12-90 times per second depend on the species. Amazing!

Want to See Something Cool?

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday! Aren't these houses the cutest ever? Cool isn't it? I made them from the Good Neighbours stamp set. The only thing about these houses is that there are doors on all 4 sides. lol I'm not sure how to get rid of the doors.

Here is a closer view of one of the houses. I'm making the little houses from the same set right now and will post them when I'm done. I might add the trees to my little neighbourhood.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Neighbourhood Houses

Hello, everyone! Hope you all doing well on a Saturday! Finally got a chance to make a card with this stamp set Good Neighbours stamp set. Sale-a-bration is almost over! Did you get any of the Sale-a-bration sets yet? With every $65 you spend you get to pick one item from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Anyway, I love these little houses and I like that the roof are separate pieces so that we can stamp the roof a different colour! I saw someone stamped the house upside down so when I stamp these houses I made sure they are upright! lol It would be funny that the doors are up at the top. That would be very hard for someone to enter the house, eh?

Thank you for visiting today my blog today!

It's A Girl

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm so glad it is Friday! One less kid to look after. I'm babysitting now and this week I have an extra kid. It feels like I have 5 kids of my own. Very busy! I'm always amazed of women who have 5 children or more and have a successful stamping business. I'm exhausted by the end of the day.

Well, on to the card! I didn't make a card for the baby at her baby shower so I was able to make one last night. No stamping! The DP says it all!

Thank you for visiting today and have a great weekend!

Baby Shower

Hi everyone! Here are some picture of the baby shower I went to on Tuesday. Aren't these decorations adorable? No, I did not decorate this time! A lady at church did it. It was so pretty!

Decorated tables for us to sit at.

Tables of food.

Little origami boxes filled with cinnamon hearts.

These are my favourites. A cupcake made from a sock and face towel. Candies made from socks. Wow! They are so cute!

Here is a picture of the mother (in purple) with the baby's great aunt. You know what? I forgot to take a picture of the star, the baby! She's the reason for the shower. I got pictures of her when she was 1 week old.
She looks exactly like her brothers.

Baby Can

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday! Tonight there is a baby shower at our church and guess what? Yes, I made a paint can for the baby! All the moms love the paint can as a gift for their babies so I can't let them down. I got to make one for this special little baby. Every baby is special!

I ran out of time to make "thank you" cards which I made for every mother when their babies are born.
Close up of the flower on the lid. I used the Scallop Circle #2 Die and cut 6 pieces of the DP, cut at every scallop, crumble them up and put a brad through all layers.

I made this flower with the Scallop Circle punch and did the same technique like the bigger flower. This is a little book of instructions on "What Every Mother Must Teach Their Children."

Mini album to go in the can.

Eggy Baskets

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Can't believe it is Friday already! Where have my week gone to? Not much time for me to stamp for sure!

Got a chance to make these cute little baskets. I use the Perfecting Setting Die to make these baskets. I cut strips of cardstocks about 1/16" to make raffia and run them through the Crimper. Scrunch them up and put them into the baskets. The flowers on the front of each baskets are made from the 5-petal Flower punch. Each flowers have 3 punched out flowers.
I scrunch them up, put a brad through the flowers and adhere them to the baskets.

Thank you for visiting today! Have a great weekend!

Olympics and Good Neighbors Birthday Card

Wow! It seems like forever the last time I stamped! Now that the Olympics are over I can concentrate on stamping! It was a fun experience with the Olympics happening in our city. We spend a lot time visiting the Olympic Free Venues and watching the Olympic events on tv. Lots and lots of people everywhere in downtown Vancouver!

My son, Jarod, loved going to all those places and collect pins! They are really pretty Olympic pins. He also bought some pins which cost a fortune for just one pin to add to his collections. Since it was an only one time thing I let him buy some.

The cauldron by the waterfront.

We got to hold one of the Olympic torches.

Here is a card I made using the Good Neighbors stamp set and the colours from the Cottage Wall DSP to make this card. Very simple card.
