For the Graduates

I made three of these sets for three ladies who are graduating from Bible College. Each box is filled with 8 cards 4 of each design. I tried to CASE (copy and share everything) Andrea Walford' s cards but I don't have some of the ribbons she used. The concept is still there.

I did a different version of the box then that of Andrea's. You can see the tote I made here. I just added a lid and omit the handles.

Here is the picture of the whole set.

Hope the girls like it. Thanks for stopping by.

My Favourite...

Apples are my favourite especially granny smith. That's why I put a green apple in the middle of this card. I used to eat a lot of apples everyday. Now, not so much.

I use the Tart and Tangy stamp set and Summer Picnic designer paper from the Occasion Mini. The "my favourite" sentiment is from the Loonies For Littles Kit promotion happening now until May 31, 2008. It is a campaign--benefiting the "Littles" (kids) and "Bigs" (adult volunteers) of Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada--Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to BBBSCA's In-School Mentoring program when you purchase the Loonies for Littles Stampin' Kit.

Contact me today to order the kit to help out with a great cause. I'll ship anywhere in Canada. Just started yesterday, Stampin'Up! will be accepting customer credit card. No more bounce cheques. Woohoo!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Birthday Card

Another card using Wonderful You set. I love these two colours together. It is so soft and spring feeling. I used a marker to colour the tip of the flower.

I have finished the graduation gifts and I'll post them soon. Come back and visit often. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful You

This is a wheely simple card. hehe Get it? There is a promotion going at SU that when you buy this Wonderful You set you get a free matching wheel to go with it. It is wheely great deal. There are six sets for you to choose from.

I did the Rock and Roll technique on this card. I ink the stamp in Mellow Moss ink then I rock the stamp on Alway Artichoke ink and stamp the image onto Whisper White card stock. I then sponge the edges in Mellow Moss ink and stamp the "wonderful you " on. Next, I slide the ribbon slide from the Silvered Styled Hodgepodge Hardware through Chocolate Chip ribbon and adhere it to the card stock. I mount the stamped image onto Mellow Moss card stock. Very simple to do.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here comes the bride card

A friend is getting marry in May and I need to make a card for her. I want to make a really special one for her. I have known her since she was a teenager. She'll be here next week for a short visit and I to give it to her before she leaves. She's getting marry in California and sadly we wont be able to attend. :(

Anyway, on to the card. This is She's All That stamp set from the Occasion Mini catalogue. Love this set. It have one for every occasion. I wish Stampin'Up! will come up with a stamp set that have the groom too. She looks kind of lonely by herself.

Got to go and come up with more wedding cards.

It is beautiful sunny day here in Vancouver on a Sunday afternoon. Have a nice day.

Album for Piano Teacher- The Cover

Here are the pictures of the cover of the album.

First, I taped all the pages together then I worked on the front and back cover. I used mat boards for the covers. I taped the designer papers (DP) to the front and back and then decorated it. I put a strip of chocolate DP on the folding part and then a ribbon down the middle of the chocolate DP. This helps the DP paper from tearing in the long run.

I wanted an elegant look to the cover binding not any normal Japanese binding technique. So I drilled four holes through all layers and then tied them together with ribbons. This made it looked very pretty. I hope this keeps the album together for a long time.

See those flowers on those holes? Click on the picture for close up. The holes looked ugly after drilling so I covered them with the flowers. What a genius idea don't you think so? lol

Here is the close up of the cover.

I really enjoyed making the album and I hope the recipient likes it to. Thank you for stopping by.

Album for a Piano Teacher-part 1

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was great. We went to visit my brother- in- law and his wife. They are expecting so it was great spending time together and talked about baby.

On to the album. I made this for a lady at church. She asked me to make one for the piano teacher ( missionary to Maple, Ontario) in a very short notice. Wow! I can't believe I can make an album in three days. It was a lot of work and lots of motherly duty negligence . My DH did a great job filling in. He is so wonderful.

There are 15 pages inside this album. I'll show you three for now.

The empty panel on the right side of the page was where I drill the holes to bind the book. I took these photos before I assemble them.

Well, have a great day!

Same Layout Different Look

These two cards have the same layout but different creative design.

This one I use the One of a Kind stamp set with the Baroque Motifs swirl for the background. I put a rhinestone brad in the middle of the two flowers.

This one I use the Baroque Motifs set and the Family Accessories for the sentiment. I know the sentiment doesn't look elegant but this is the only set that have a happy birthday small enough to fit in the window punch and I want to accomplish this look.

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. The ladies and teenagers enjoyed the stamp a stack night. They had fun and it was amazing how everyone can make their cards differently than my samples. They not only stamp differently but the layout and colours were changed. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures or I could of show you how their cards look like.

Stamp A Stack

Here are the cards we will be making on Friday. There are two female cards, two male cards and one kid card. I try to make it as simple as possible for these ladies are new at stamping. Enjoy!

Here is the inside.

3x3 Card and Holder

This is a 3x3 card holder and matching note card. This holder uses a business size envelope, sealed, fold in half and cut off the two ends. I then tape it to the inside of a card stock that measures 4 1/4" x 11". Then score it at 4 1/2"x 9". I forgot to take a picture of the inside. I use Velcro for the flap. I can fit four note cards inside this holder.
